Dampener mixer conveyor must have a water tank located on the roof top of the mill building to make available water at a consistent water flow and pressure to the mixer conveyor. In addition the mixer must receive a consistent wheat flow which will greatly contribute to consistent moisture values after water addition.
The water panel consists of a solenoid value, flow meter and sight flow tube, the water flow rate can be adjusted by the operator to an exact liters/hours flow rate.
The mixer conveyor body is inclined upwards at a fixed angle. Located inside the body are specifically curved rotor blades, factory adjusted at pre-determined angles to both move the wheat towards the outlet while also agitating the wheat kernels. This produces self-rotation on the movement with some of the kernels will drop and will be agitated for a second time which achieves a uniform dampening action.
The mixer is equipped with a wheat flow rate sensor at the inlet that is linked to a solenoid value that opens and closes the water flow value. When wheat flow stops the water supply is immediately stopped.
CXZS uses a flow meter for measuring water addition that controls the degree of dampening. There is also a automatic moisture unit available using microwave energy for automatic water addition.
